MN Alpha was paired with the gentlemen of Pi Kappa Alpha and the ladies of Pi Beta Phi during Homecoming week 2017. We started off the week with a BBQ in the front lawns of Pi Kappa Alpha and MN Alpha. Tuesday was a designated study day with midterms occurring during the week.
Wednesday was a big night for our pairing. Our football team won the Homecoming football tournament after being crowned top fundraiser for the Special Olympics Minnesota Polar Plunge. We had 14 brothers brave the cold and take The Plunge. Our chapter raised close to $1400 for the event with the biggest contribution coming from senior Chris Johnson raising over $500 for Polar Plunge.
We capped off the week by watching our pairing participate in homecoming lip sync on Thursday night outside of Coffman Memorial Union. The week was a blast and we would like to thank PIKE and Pi Phi for an outstanding pairing. A hearty Phi Alpha as well to our Homecoming chairmen Daniel Sloan and Ryan Olek for organizing the week's events as well as Philanthropy chairman Jack Kuebelbeck for captaining our Polar Plunge team.
